Zum ersten Mal arbeitete sie am Album mit dem legend\u00e4ren Produzenten Stephen Hague zusammen (New Order, Peter Gabriel, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Pet Shop Boys…).<\/p>\n

Die Partnerschaft zwischen den beiden begann mit Claudias Aufnahme eines besonders wehm\u00fctigen Songs von Electric Light Orchestra namens „One Summer Dream“, einer B-Seite des bekannteren St\u00fccks „Mr Blue Sky“. Daraus entstanden Ideen f\u00fcr unfairerweise \u00fcbersehene Songs der 60er bis 90er Jahre von Stephen Duffys Lilac Time, Stina Nordenstam oder Dubstar und weniger bekannten Songs von K\u00fcnstlern wie David Bowie, The Bee Gees oder Robbie Robertson. Die Songs existieren jenseits aller zeitlichen Einordnungen durch ihre universellen Geschichten von Verlust und Einsamkeit, von Unsicherheit, Angst und Verzweiflung, die in kreative Energie umgewandelt werden und eine Zeitlosigkeit bekommen, die durch die wunderbare Produktion zu etwas komplett Neuem zusammenw\u00e4chst.<\/p>\n

Der britische Musikjournalist Paul Morley schrieb \u00fcber den Aufnahmeprozess und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Claudia und Stephen: „Once the songs had been chosen, sung and recorded, and put in the right order, moving from the wind blowing, to the waves rolling in, via all the dreams, longing and memories, the rain, the setting sun and stillness, so that it became a complete album, a whole performance, a world of its own, then there was the title, to summarise the songs and the mood, the recovering and refining of thoughts and feelings, and the fact that Claudia Brucken was produced by Stephen Hague. Not an everyday group, or a traditional double act, or even a singer singing songs as though they were the sole controller of events, as if such songs just pop out of nowhere, but a reflection of how it has been all along – that great albums are often a relationship between the record producer and the singer. \u00dcber Claudia Br\u00fccken:<\/strong>
\nClaudia Br\u00fccken war eine der beiden Frauen in dem gemischten Doppel der D\u00fcsseldorfer Avantgardepopband Propaganda, die vom NME<\/em> einmal treffenderweise als „Abba from Hell“ bezeichnet wurde. Die Band war das erste Signing \u00fcberhaupt von Trevor Horns Label Zang Tum Tumb – sp\u00e4ter stie\u00dfen Gruppen wie Art Of Noise oder Frankie Goes To Hollywood zum Label. „Dr. Mabuse“, die Deb\u00fctsingle von Propaganda, war der bekannteste und wahrscheinlich d\u00fcsterste Song, der jemals in die Top Ten der Single-Charts st\u00fcrmte, und das Album A Secret Wish<\/em> wird als eines der besten und wegweisendsten elektronischen Alben \u00fcberhaupt gesehen. <\/p>\n

Nachdem Claudia die Band 1985 verlassen hatte, gr\u00fcndete sie mit Thomas Leer die Band Act, die schon fr\u00fch die dramatische Elektro-Glitterwelt von heutigen K\u00fcnstlern wie Lady Gaga, Florence oder La Roux vorweg nahmen. 1991 folgte das Soloalbum Love: and a Million Other Things<\/em>, das bei Island Records erschien und sp\u00e4ter die schon erw\u00e4hnten Kollaborationen mit K\u00fcnstlern wie Glenn Gregory, Andy Bell, Martin Gore, Andrew Poppy (f\u00fcr das Album Another Language<\/em>) und sp\u00e4ter Paul Humphreys (OMD), mit dem sie die Band Onetwo startete.<\/p>\n

In Gro\u00dfbritannien ist das neue Album The Lost Are Found<\/em> schon erschienen und hat schon erste sehr positive Rezensionen erhalten – u.a. als Key Release in der britischen Music Week<\/em>. <\/p>\n
