Nach Norden ausgerichtet, \"\"<\/a>europ\u00e4isch, offen, pers\u00f6nlich und melancholisch – das sind alles Begriffe, die sich mit Kari Bremnes\u2018 Musik verbinden lassen.<\/p>\n

Und immer mit einer gro\u00dfen N\u00e4he zu den Menschen und ihren Schicksalen. Die vielfach preisgekr\u00f6nte Singer-Songwriterin, f\u00fcr die einzelne Genre-Schubladen immer zu eng waren und sind, schreibt seit fast vierzig Jahren Songs, die auf neunzehn Soloalben ver\u00f6ffentlicht sind. Derzeit hat sie ein gr\u00f6\u00dferes Publikum als je zuvor, in ihrem Heimatland und weit dar\u00fcber hinaus.<\/p>\n

\u201eImmer noch hier\u201c bedeutet der norwegische Albumtitel Ennu her<\/em> in der deutschen \u00dcbersetzung und nach vielen Jahren der Ver\u00f6ffentlichungsstille von Kari Bremnes und in unserer \u2013 laut Kari \u2013 \u201ebe\u00e4ngstigenden und unbeherrschbaren Welt\u201c haben diese Worte einen wohltuenden Klang. So wohltuend und sch\u00f6n wie Karis \u201eglasklarer und doch warmherziger Gesang\u201c wie Audio<\/em> \u00fcber das letzte Album sagte.<\/p>\n

Viel ist \u00fcber die K\u00fcnstlerin von den Lofoten geschrieben worden \u2013 hier kommt sie selbst zu Wort und f\u00fchrt uns in ihre Gedankenwelt zum neuen Album mit seinen sechs Songs ein:<\/p>\n

Still here. Because it’s true. That we’re here now. At the same time. A simple, natural thing for most of us on the go. Yet, at the same time, it can be an overwhelming thought. How we are able to talk, think, scroll, hear music, strike a cat, cross a street, dream, laugh, breathe, love. Because we can. Because we’re still here.<\/em><\/p>\n

These stories say a lot about what\u00b4s on my mind nowadays.<\/em><\/p>\n

Like my cat! The joy you can get from connection to beloved animals couldn\u00b4t be overrated. Midas the cat makes the day more fun here, no matter what a certain vice president of the United States reports about cats and women.<\/em><\/p>\n

I find the world out there more frightening and unmanageable than before. Many of us do. It is devastating to watch the news daily, covering war crimes and human suffering, most often caused by greed and power-hungry men.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are dreams I don’t understand, and I find the subconscious mind utterly fascinating<\/em><\/p>\n

I see strong love stories, meant to last a lifetime, come to an end. Because something unpredictable happens. And because we are human beings.<\/em><\/p>\n

I’ve recently lost dear people. I keep talking to them, even if they’re not here anymore. That way I have a feeling that they are still with me.<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally, I’ve written a song for those of you who listen to our music. Accept it as a simple, genuine, affectionate Thank You, from us who make songs and travel around playing concerts. We’re so blessed to have such a devoted audience. While we\u00b4re still here, all together.<\/em><\/p>\n
